I left everything I knew and bought a one way ticket across the world...
Start with something to ground you in the new territory and people…
I only had plans to attend a seminar, then to build relations with the facilitator team, so as to train with them more frequently. Whilst I aim to build my coaching business online.
What are the chances that the person sitting next to you on the plane from Denver to London has 92 mutual friends on FB and is originally from United Kingdom?! Well we made great friends from me blowing bubbles into the rows of seats around us haha, and she helped me to navigate the public trans and get from the plane to the train to the city with ease and a lovely friend to chat to!
+1 to the metrics of synchronicity.
I stayed in a hostel for the first time, it was clean, convenient, safe and only $10 GBP!
I went to a 4 day Advanced Training on Behavior recognition and influence. This put me in a room of highly focused learners, committed to enhancing their quality communication. I made great friends whom I got the phone numbers of and even got a couch to stay on vs going to the hostels or camping out at the parks!
Woohoo! Thanks Jo =)
The seminar was so dense with content that it was like being hit with a firehose for 32 hours straight…Time to implement now before witnessing the teacher and their mannerisms fade from memory.
I wrote a song to arrange my learnings into one cohesive bit of info.
Give a listen to it as I premiered for the team at the pub =)
Now I will settle into my new friend Jo’s place for a few days and plan the next bit of time and space we will adventure into…
