Is fear holding you back?
Most people carry with them a heavy weight called fear. Let's re-label that as "resistance." This obstacle is what leads you to sabotage your efforts time and time again.
Even though you may make big strides towards your goals, eventually you get in your own way and fall back.
"WHYYYYY?!!!" (You might be asking yourself, right?) I feel you, I have been there;
When I was 18 I joined the Marine Corps to be part of "the best of the best of the best".
But during my 4 years of service I argued with authority, pushed my family away and started abusing drugs after my mother's cancer diagnosis.
I sabotaged myself and tore down everything I had started to achieve.
On top of the self-sabotage, I blamed all of this on "The Man", refusing to take responsibility for myself and was ultimately given General Discharge due to my behaviors.
So how did I become a life coach and healer?
Most simply, I found myself sleeping on my mother's floor...I had reached my lowest low.
Humbled, I started looking for ways to "fix" myself and went to a Tony Robbins seminar. This was the beginning of 5 years of my own transformation and education into coaching.
That seminar opened my eyes to an entirely different way of viewing the world. I started pushing my limitations and putting myself in uncomfortable situations in order to slay my ego's power over me (remember that problem with authority?). I attended men's groups that practiced authentic relating, completed over 200 hours of Five Rhythms dance therapy, started meditative practices with a guide and started learning about hypnosis and NLP (neuro linguistic programming).
The most important part of this healing and transformational journey was finding safety, allowing me to take action towards my desires without fear and without sabotage. This meant that I had finally seen the value I could offer the world and chose my path as a healer.
I committed to this and enrolled and graduated from The Denver School of Hypnotherapy. Since, I have completed over 1,000 hours of continued education through internationally recognized hypnosis programs and self-study as well as continued personal meditative and dance therapy practices to continue my evolution.
Now I have been in practice for 5 years and it gives me such fulfillment and inspiration to help others break through limiting beliefs by integrating safety and freeing themselves from sabotage. I wish to bring this work to as many people as possible so they can experience the same freedom I have found!
